A polished granite drinking fountain and bowl surmounting a three-stepped unpolished base. At the top of the fountain is a cast iron, armed post supporting a spherical glass lantern. The three water spouts are in bronze and of a floral design. There are inscriptions on the west and east faces of the fountain. The inscription on the west face (QEII) has been added with a different colour of granite. The fountain was removed from its original site in Carfax in 1947 as it was regarded a traffic hazard. It was stored for thirty years in a Council yard. In 1977, to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, it was retrieved, restored and placed back in Carfax. This was through money raised by The Horsham Society, The Museum Society and by public subscription.
