Captain Frederic John 'Johnnie' Walker, CB, DSO, sank more U-boats during the Battle of the Atlantic than any other British or Allied commander. He was based out of Liverpool. He was known as 'the scourge of Nazi submarines during the Battle of the Atlantic'. Walker was the most successful anti-submarine warfare commander during the Battle of the Atlantic and was known popularly as 'Johnnie Walker' (after the whisky).
