This oil on linen work completed in 2011 forms part of a small series of paintings titled 'The Promised Land'. The series examines the conflict in Palestine/Israel from both sides. 'Jets' is the companion piece to 'Carbomb' (also in the collection of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum); both of these works comment on the technology used – both high-tech (in 'Jets') and low-tech (in 'Carbomb').
