An English lead statue of a seated female figure. Her left arm is leaning on a substantial urn which is ornamented with bold gadrooning to the upper body of the vase and further gadrooning to the lower. Her head is partially covered by the top of her classical drapery which covers her back and passes down over her left shoulder and across her legs. She is holding a beautifully detailed book in her left hand, but this has no inscription set into it, purely a detailing suggesting printed script. Her dress has a detailed hem ornamented with a zig zag pattern with a form of four leaf clover within each segment of the pattern. On her feet she wears classical sandals in the antique manner which are held by a heart shaped buckle.
