The state of Tamil Nadu is known for being India’s top producer of agricultural products. Rice, jowar, ragi, bajra, maize, and pulses are the most common crops grown in the region. Cash crops include bananas and mangoes, while oilseed crops include groundnuts, sesame, and sunflowers. Irrigation is mostly provided by river tanks and wells.

Hand written label states “puller casts thrashing paddies in the fields.”
