Saint Nicholas is shown holding a book in his left hand with three balls on top representing the dowries of the three poor maidens. He is making the sign of the blessing with his other hand. The work is Greek or Russian in style. The halo and edging of his robe bear crosses. His dress has a chequerboard pattern.
