A bronze full-figure statue of Howel Gwyn, leading citizen and benefactor (1806–1888). Gwyn is posed in an informal stance wearing an overcoat and gesturing with his right hand, on a moulded marble pedestal. The statue formerly stood in front of Gwyn Hall, and was moved to its current location in the 1960s.
