The work consists of oblong blocks of stone: the lower subdivision contains a simple carved Norman arch; the upper-middle section has crisp horizontal chevrons; the upper half has a knight, low-relief and inset, wearing a helmet and chainmail and blowing the legendary Horn of Egremont.
