The importance of the oil industry to the Highland area is reflected in 'Homeward Bound'. The sombre tones of the colours reflect the harsh environment and weariness of the work offshore expressed in the drawn, grey faces of the men on the helicopter home. The one bright note is the red of the essential survival suit.
