A Blackburn Buccaneer strike bomber circles HMS 'Ark Royal' as a McDonnell Douglas Phantom is launched from the waist catapult. The 'omega' tail marking was adopted as the emblem of 892 Squadron’s Phantoms, knowing that they would be the last conventional jet fighters in the Royal Navy.
