'High Planes', a constructed 'wall-object', can be described as being a dialogue between painting and sculpture, with a mathematical basis. In 1989–90, as the Council for National Academic Awards offices were refurbished, a wall was created against which the work could be mounted. It later worked well displayed high on a grand wall on Carlton House Terrace, before moving to the University of London.
