The late Medieval figure of a seated lion (sejant) is set on a square plinth. The head is very eroded but curls of the mane are still visible, as is the tail which is curled between the feet. A shield, now blank, is carved on the lion's left hand side, and the figure is carved in the round, so would have been intended for a free-standing location.
