A bronze statue on a tapering pedestal. The figure of a standing soldier looks out resolutely towards the south west. He has a bayoneted rifle, knapsacks on both front and back and a helmet on his head. The names of the fallen are on plaques flanking the statue. A post and chain protect the memorial from the road.
