Three large slate standing stone slabs, positioned as a triptych, with words etched across the three surfaces to form the phrase 'To Know the Road Ahead', and on the reverse 'Ask Those Coming Back', mounted on a low wall brick and concrete base. The first part is a Chinese proverb and initially speaks to the fear of venturing into the unknown, and to ask those coming back refers to the residents being decanted from the area during redevelopment before returning to their new community. These elements are part of a wider Haggerston Stones project – reflecting important references of living in Haggerston.
