This bronze casting appears in the 1877 Coalbrookdale Company catalogue (No. 148). Described as 'Greyhounds at play', the price list shows the casting priced at £1 13s.

The dogs were called Jiji and Gisella. They were cast separately, as well as being cast as a combined model, as shown here.
