Two slate plinths, one bearing an inscription tablet, either side of large iron wheel, resembling pit-head gear. It is a memorial to the mining disaster at Gresford Colliery in September 1934 when 266 miners died. There is a memorial book of names at Wrexham Library and a further memorial in Gresford Church.
