The Capilla Real, built in 1506–1517, is on the south side of Granada Cathedral. It contains several tombs, including those of Ferdinand and Isabella, the ‘Catholic Kings’ who reconquered Granada from the Moors in 1481–1492. Roberts was in Spain between December 1832 and August 1833, including three weeks in Granada.
