George William Davis JP, of Woodville Lodge, 41 Valentines Road, Ilford, was Chairman of Ilford Urban District Council from 1910 to 1911. This portrait commemorates his Chairmanship for the year ending April 1911 and was presented to Councillor Davis by members of the Education Committee and Chief Officials of the Council.
