The work is representative of a shoal of fish crossing the alleyway. Three fish heads emerge from the wall on the south side of the alley while three fish tails go into the wall on the north side. The central piece is a complete fish with a panelled metal head and tail and wire work body. The central fish is mounted on a high pole.
