The woman is carrying a basket loaded with fruit, from a tumpline or headband and a child sits on the basket with its legs hanging in front of the woman's shoulders. There is an anklet on the child's left leg and the right foot is missing. The woman is carrying a gourd by a strap in her left hand, and another object (missing) in her right hand. She is dressed in a dark blue gathered skirt and a short-sleeved loose upper garment gathered by a waistband, with a rectangular panel at the front. The child is in blue with a button hat.
