A view of Carlingford Lough looking south-east. This picture shows the Fortescue lock on the Newry canal with its lock house and the masts of ships in the lock chamber. To the right, the Omeath road runs past and on it stands a man by the water's edge and a horse bearing a pair of panniers and a rider with a woman. Behind, to the left, is Carlingford Lough and the quay of Narrow Water while in the centre distance is the Carlingford mountain range and Slieve Foy.
