A procession of heavily-laden soldiers. Some figures are injured, some are on horseback, or in carts or vehicles, towing guns, and many carry flags or banners. At the head of the line there is a commotion – there are children standing on their heads and waving their arms, surrounding a colourful character wearing a star. Around the procession daily activity continues – a small boy sits on the edge of the sculpture's base, fishing.
