Elizabeth II wearing a tiara, drop earrings and a necklace.

Her Majesty The Queen was the patron of The Scout Association. In 1909, Robert Baden-Powell suggested to Edward VII that boys who passed special tests for efficiency should be ranked as King's Scouts. The King agreed and the King’s Scout Award was established, this continues today, and is known as the Queen’s Scout Award.

His Royal Highness The Duke of York was invested as a Cub Scout in 1968 into the 1st Marylebone Cub Park, before joining the Cub Pack at Heatherdown School, Berkshire. Today, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge is a Scout volunteer.
