A fountain in the Eleanor Cross manner with a relief portrait of Trotter. Two chamfered steps lead to a square pillar surmounted by crocketed (hook-shaped) arches and a crocketed pinnacle. The pillar is in two parts. The upper part has a limestone panel inserted into it on the east face with a low relief medallion portrait of Dr Trotter looking left. The work was re-erected in 1972.
