Dorothy North, Lady Dacre, was the second wife of Sir Richard Lennard (1596–1630), 13th Lord Dacre. A 'very clever and attractive young woman', she married the widowed Sir Richard when she was 20 years old. She was the daughter of Dudley North, 3rd Lord North (c.1582–1665/1666). From 1618 to 1622 Sir Richard had been married to Elizabeth Throckmorton. The couple had had four sons, the eldest being Sir Francis Lennard (1619–1662), 14th Lord Dacre.
