A figure of a soldier in kilted uniform holding a rifle with bayonet, mounted on a stepped plinth. A two-stepped base leads to a dedicatory inscription on a stone tablet. Three tablets with names from the First World War are centred above the dedication. Tablets bordered by sculpted spears are set into the plinth. The plinth is set in a wall with two additional plaques inscribed with names from the Second World War on either side. The memorial is reached by a wide walkway enclosed within a fence.
