Colin Bent Philip was Vice President of the club from 1896 to 1898. He was elected to the Royal Watercolour Society in 1898, and is known for large-scale works, mostly of Scottish and Alpine subjects.

This is a summer view of the Dents du Midi (Teeth of the South), which are made up of seven distinct summits.
