This is a drawing of a custard apple, possibly Annona squamosa. The fruits are edible and sweet and made into deserts and juices.
It is native to the tropical Americas and West Indies but this species is cultivated around the world for its fruits. It is used in traditional medicines in India and Thailand as well as the Americas.
The leaves are boiled down and used to treat dysentery and urinary tract infections as well as being crushed to form a wound poultice. In Mexico, the leaves are used to repel lice from homes and poultry cages.
