Peterhead Scottish Week began in 1962 and is the last remaining event of its kind in Scotland. Each year a Buchan Queen and two Buchan Princesses are elected to provide figureheads for the week. This painting shows the crowning of the 1977 Buchan Queen, Lorraine Adams, outside Arbuthnot House in Peterhead.
