One of two linked artworks 'Cross' and 'Cave', were brought to the park as part of its legacy as a public access space. The sculptures are sited in and adjacent to the playpark and picnic space. Described as 'elemental shelters', they were designed and created with children in mind, providing space to hide, explore and climb. Large intersecting panels create spaces and are purposely intended to reflect the industrial history of the area with dark colours and a tough urban appearance.
