Impressionistic view of a window area of the Café Verrey, Regent Street, London. A group of three men sit at a table by the window, apparently engrossed in conversation. On the left a woman sits alone, her head turned towards the group. The title implies that the group are discussing a secretive plan, hence the woman's natural curiosity to listen. It is a café with a grand interior including bay windows, hanging candle lights, wooden columns and gilted decorative features.
