One (E9) of 12 Companion Stones located next to guide stoops. Made by artist and stonemason Amanda Wray, the sculpture is formed of a circular stone with three hands that are pointing with the index finger, and a poem by Alyson Hallett spiralling from the outer circumference in towards the centre where there is a hole. The lower edge is covered with moss and the Companion Stones website address may be under the moss. The guide stoop is to the east of the stone. The stones were unveiled and exhibited at the Moorland Centre until mid-July 2010, giving people the opportunity to see them before they were transported to their moorland sites.
