Roman ruins from Le Antichità Romane, Trajan's Column and the churches of S. Maria di Loreto and S. Nome di Maria, Rome; foreground, on the right and on the left, two sightseers standing on ruinous walls; middleground, on the right, the side of the dome of the church of S. Nome di Maria, in the centre, Trajan's Column consisting of a carved spiral relief placed on a base; background, on the left, three and four storey buildings, in the centre right, the church of S. Maria di Loreto with a large dome topped by a cupola. Annotated A to C. Etched mainly by parallel lines with stopping out used for the sky. Paper has the watermark 'M'
