The clock tower and drinking fountain is a Jubilee memorial of 1897 and is built of Isle of Wight ashlar stone with metal clock faces and painted lead on a cast iron roof. It has a square tower of three stages on the base of three stone steps. The first stage has a small round-headed opening with a gabled canopy above to the north face (to service clock) and a cast iron drinking fountain on the south face with a semi-circular bowl and round-headed panel behind, with the inscription 'Keep the Pavement Dry' and a representation of two doves, the whole having a gabled canopy above. The narrower second stage is divided by moulded bands with chamfered corners and carved stone corbels on top. The third stage has a clock face on all sides set into sunk panels.
