Over two days in March 2022, Hartlepool Borough Council, in partnership with the Northern School of Art, commissioned the artist-photographer, Alice Hawkins, to create new work in connection with her show 'The Female Gaze: Revisited' at Hartlepool Art Gallery in early 2022.
A selection of images from the shoot were then displayed as part of 'The Female Gaze: Revisited' exhibition and acquired into the permanent collection of Hartlepool Museums and Heritage Service.
The work was funded by Tees Valley Museums Group and Northern School of Art.
