A domestic scene of a woman and small girl, who are probably mother and child. They are standing outside a cottage, and we can see the door, window, and a plant pot on the window sill immediately behind the adult female figure. She is pointing her finger and scolding the small girl for reasons unknown to the viewer. The girl is holding a piece of cloth to her right eye to wipe away her tears whilst looking to her right.
