Charles Wesley is shown seated on a giltwood chair and leaning on a harpsichord. Fashionably dressed as a young gentleman-around-town, he wears a short wig and a pink double-breasted coat with green lining and large buttons, caught open by the top button. His green breeches are trimmed with four gold buttons and braid, and he wears a matching coat beneath the topcoat, and white hose and buckled shoes.
