Impressionistic painting depicting the interior of Edwardian Manchester's Central Station. Cloaked in an industrial haze, this subtly-toned sketch captures the station's vaulted arched roof and glass entrance. The viewer observes the scene from inside the station and looks towards the entrance. The dark figures of passengers can be seen on the platform and on the far left, a stationary train is visible, which fills the air with smoke.
