A sphinx on a pedestal as a memorial for the Lancashire Fusiliers. Below the sphinx is the word 'Egypt'. There are carvings of the Lancashire Rose at the top corners of each side of the shaft of the cenotaph. Reliefs of the badge of the Lancashire Fusiliers are at the top centre.
