These pieces were originally in place above Sydney Wood's photography business in Blackwellgate. The Wood family redesigned, in a Tudor style, the front of their store in 1911, commissioning Hedley to carve four dogs heads to be included on the finished facade. This facade was demolished in 1953 after being acquired by Binns.
