This painting by Robert Sweeney is of the butcher's stall 'Chez Andre' which was situated in the Guernsey market building before its refurbishment. Sweeney was born and grew up in Liverpool until he was 18, when he left to study illustration at Kingston Polytechnic in London. He now lives and works in Guernsey as an art teacher.
