One of two of ‘The Marble Busts’, commissioned in 2013 by The Incorporation of Stonemasons of Glasgow to commemorate the end of the First World War and some women gaining the right to vote in 1918. Ann Stone Guest, of Stroke-on-Trent worked as a private nurse in Paris and Nice, at the outbreak of the war she joined the Territorial Force and was posted to a casualty clearing station in Leeds. She met William Sclater (character of the other Marble Bust) at Leicester's Military Hospital. The couple married in 1918.
