One of a set of four images of Broomfield Park at the turn of the century. Broomfield Park is Grade II listed and is thought to be one of only three Baroque water-gardens in the UK (the others are Chatsworth and Powys Castle). This depicts an unspecified area of the park where a path leads up to a central lawn. Broomfield Park is the location of Broomfield House, a Grade II* listed building that was acquired by Southgate Council in 1903 and subsequently became a museum. Unfortunately it was badly damaged in a fire in 1984 and the museum was moved and the house shut down. It remains closed.
