Black and white photograph, depicting a group of soldiers, with camels, travelling over a bridge somewhere in the Middle East, where construction work can be seen taking place at one end. The photograph was taken on 30 April 1918, during the Second Transjordan attacks on Shunet Nimrin and Es Salt, which were fought between 30 April and 4 May 1918, so it may depict somewhere near these areas.

During this time McBey was serving as Official War Artist in Egypt, which he had begun on 26 May 1917. The photograph is kept within a hardback photograph album, with faux leather overlay, along with a series of other related images.
