Painter of landscape, genre, portraits and game. Inskipp was originally employed in the commissariat service, from which he retired with a pension and then adopted painting as a profession for the remainder of his life. He began with landscapes, then turned to small subject pictures and, with less success, to portraits. His pictures were admired at the time. He lived the latter part of his life in Godalming.
