Painstakingly hand carved, the striations that span the surfaces of 'Black Cube', provide the look of corduroy fabric. The form appears soft and stuffed, like a cushion or footstool. When sitting upon 'Black Cube', its failure to squash brings back an awareness of the true nature of the material and its transformation through carving.
