A small stylised bird, painted grey, standing on a flat base. It has a prominent hooked beak and small feather crest on its head, and light brown paint staining on the beak and a small area on the chest.

Ronald Moody is probably best known for his wood carvings and sculptures of the human form. He originally trained as a dentist but was inspired to learn to sculpt after visiting the British Museum in the 1920s.
