'Beehives' incorporates five traditional WBC beehives that play host to a colony of honeybees. The beehives are inscribed with the text 'BEES; they lightly skim; and gently sip; the dimply rivers brim; BOATS.'

'Beehives' was created in response to the pastoral atmosphere of Jupiter Artland’s landscape, specifically, the woodland and wildflower meadow where the beehives are now located.

Reminiscent of the hives in Finlay’s garden Little Sparta, Jupiter Artland’s 'Beehives' underlines the interaction of nature and are a gentle counterpoint to Marc Quinn’s man-made and genetically modified Love Bomb which can be seen nearby.
