An obelisk upon a flared pedestal and square base, on the north side of which stands a female figure holding a palm frond in her right hand and a lowered flag with her left, above her a fasces topped by a lion's head in a strapwork frame, and on the south side a heavy frame with oak leaves and acorns and laurel leaves around a list of the fallen. The penultimate top section of each side of the obelisk is decorated with Celtic interlacing within a rectangular frame.

on the north side of the obelisk in metal lettering: DIED IN THE / SERVICE OF / THEIR COUNTRY; on the south side of the base in raised lettering on a bronze plaque: THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1918 / TO THE MEMORY OF OUR FALLEN SONS; on the east side of the base in raised lettering on a bronze plaque: DULCE ET DECORUM / EST PRO PATRIA MORI; and on the west side in raised lettering on a metal plaque: THIS PLATE IS IN DEDICATION TO ALL THOSE WHO DIED IN THE SERVICE / OF THEIR COUNTRY OR AS A RESULT OF CONFLICT SINCE 1945. / THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD, AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD, / AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM, NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN, / AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING / WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
