Landscape scene of Assisi seen from Perugia, with a small group of white buildings set amongst a wide landscape of hills. The colours are predominantly in lilac, deep purple and mauve. The painting lacks fine detail and seems to be concentrating more on the colour and surface of the landscape. The paint is somewhat textured in parts. The sky is illuminated against the darker silhouetted hills in the foreground.
